Yesterday in the car to the beach, I had ‘the talk’ with the kids.
No, not the sex talk. The talk about why they might want to be president someday. We talked about why being a lawyer first might be a good step, and what lawyers do, and what a politician was, and why they might like that job. All in very simple terms, of course, but you know what they say — you should start having these conversations when they’re young, so they grow up with all the facts. You wouldn’t want them spreading misinformation on the playground…
(I seriously do think Kavya would make a good president.)
