6711 words today, two full chapters, and I broke the 80K mark, which was my minimum length goal for this book. One chapter left to go, I think, plus maybe an epilogue, to finish all the arcs, but I am falling asleep at my keyboard, so I am putting it aside until tomorrow. Hoping to finish in the morning.
Did also weed and water a bit, but not much else today but writing. Got takeout to feed us. I don’t think I could keep up this pace daily, even setting aside all the necessary business of life — it’s very draining.
But that said, aiming for at least 1000 words a day should be do-able. And 4000 isn’t necessarily tiring, assuming I actually have four hours free. Now that the kids are a bit older, I want to really revamp my life so that I’m prioritizing writing time. Aim for 1-4K / day? Something like that.
