The older I get and the more I know, the more tempted I am by the banking method of teaching. I have so little time with them, and they need to know so much! This year is the first year where I've had to really consciously try to restrain myself from just lecturing my way through my classes (at breakneck speed). They learn better by doing. They learn better by doing. Be quiet, Mary Anne, and let them figure it out for themselves. It's totally okay if they miss some fine points.
