Morning garden photo -- gaura lindheimeri, "Siskiyou Pink." Gaura is a native North American wildflower, very drought and heat tolerant. Unlike the species, 'Siskiyou Pink' does not self-seed. All the plants have been drowning in my garden the last few days, but the sun came out yesterday and dried up the petals, and today it's hot and muggy and EVERYTHING is happy, including flowers that haven't shown their faces in weeks. This one looks so nice when it's breezy, like a cloud of dancing pink butterflies.
