Kevin mom and sister…

Kevin mom and sister (and sister's kids) are coming today to visit for a few days. Good prompting to straighten up (though they are thankfully not fussy), and I'm motivating myself to clean by distributing flowers through the house. The sun is just coming out, but a few minutes ago, when I took these photos, the light was very cold and wintry. Still lovely, though, in a stark, Scandinavian sort of way. There's six inches of snow in my yard, but it's clean and cosy inside. Spring is coming, hopefully? It's a constant little refrain in the back of my head, almost a demand. Spring spring spring spring spring. I potted up the primroses to underplant the duranta -- they both need a lot of water, I think, so we'll see how they do together. Spring spring spring.
