Teaching a new course in…

Teaching a new course in the spring, the intro-level Women and Literature. Going to be challenging, but exciting. Have just realized I can totally teach Satrapi's _Persepolis_ in this course. Yay!! And I think I'm going to open the class by showing Chimamanda Adichies The Danger of a Single Story." Oh, this will be fun. :-)

Tentative plan for the major texts: Shakespeares Macbeth, Alcotts Little Women, Millays poetry, Atwoods The Handmaids Tale, and Satrapis graphic novel, Persepolis. With lots of shorter readings thrown in, but I need to get my book orders in soonish, so...

Would like to include some trans literature at the end of the course -- I haven't had a chance to read _Whipping Girl_ yet, so am hesitant to include it, though I am told it is very good. Any other recommendations, preferably short and accessible?
