Have just revised my syllabus and sent notes to students. We *will* catch up this week and next, I swear; by November, I am determined that we will be back on syllabus. You might think after several years of teaching this course, I would be able to pace it like a fine Swiss watch, knowing exactly how much the students could reasonably cover in any given class. You would be wrong.
