There’s a sweet spot…

There's a sweet spot when you're mildly ill -- you're not so sick that you have no appetite, but you're sick enough that you really appreciate good food, especially hearty food. It's as if you can feel it working in your body, doing good, healthy things for you. Building up your blood and humors. :-)

I realize spicy beef curry with coconut milk-curried sweet beets over sticky rice isn't everyone's idea of perfect comfort food, but it is way high on my list. Hooray for leftovers (with fresh rice)!
