Looks like we’ll be…

Looks like we'll be doing a DesiLit / Jaggery rapid-fire reading in Chicago in early November. Possibly with samosas + beer. Stay tuned for more details. (In a few days.)

Also, I'm pleased to note that Soniah Kamal will be joining the Jaggery staff as a blog editor. Soniah was one of our bloggers for the old DesiLit blog, and we're delighted she's willing to take over wrangling the new blog for us.

Soniah Kamal writes about books. Born in Pakistan and raised in England and Saudi Arabia, she holds a bachelors degree in philosophy with honors from St. Johns College, where her undergraduate thesis received the Susan B. Irene Award. Her short stories and essays have been published in the United States, Pakistan, India and Canada and her debut novel An Isolated Incident is forthcoming in 2014. She is getting her MFA from Georgia State University where she is the recipient of Paul Bowles Fellowship in Fiction. For more please see www.soniahkamal.com
