Seasonal change. Last night I packed away the blues and whites of summer, the little origami sailboats and sailing ship book-ends. I brought out autumn, dishtowels, bowls and spatulas, in gold, orange, rust, wine, and the dark green that lingers for a while. Last year, I wrapped these twigs in yarn, a pleasant occupation while watching tv, and I am still charmed by them this year. There's more put out, candles and the like, but this will do to start. The mornings are cooler and start a bit later. Welcome, autumn!
