Just stepped outside on mulch in flip-flops, which somehow flipped a bit, leading me to trip and scrape the top of my other foot across concrete, dragging the skin off one of my toes. Argh. I feel somehow that the universe is punishing me for not writing a more glowing review of Cheryl Strayed's _Wild_ (in which loss of toenails plays a major role).
