Classes really are very motivating. I have a bunch of beginner drawing books, including the much-recommended _Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain_, but none of them got me actually drawing. Irises (just opening), bottle of cider. It was tempting to use color on the irises to make it a little clearer where the flowers start, but I thought I'd focus on the lines for now...
I thought the top image was asparagus spears until I read the text. Now I cannot imagine why I thought that; they look almost nothing like asparagus spears! Strange how text and images interplay in ones brain.
Oh my gosh, I did too, and wondered why you were doing a still life of a glass of asparagus!
