Name that mystery plant… Name that mystery plant (it's about five feet tall now, and one of the stars of my garden, but I have no idea where it came from or what it is):
I believe its a foxtail lily, they originate in tibet and are tuberous…….I’ve seen them in pink, yellow and orange……white is fabulous! Reply
Hmm…I don’t think, so, Nova — the flower shape is similar, but the leaves look completely different. Someone else suggested astilbe, which startled me, since it’s 5′ tall, but apparently, astilbe can grow to 6′ tall? Reply
Wow! I don’t think I have ever seen anything like it.

The foliage and buds look like delphinium, but the flowers are too frilly.
