Here's some fabrics I'm considering for the seat back in the eat-in area. I think I can make a backrest, possibly even tufted, if I'm understanding the DIY instructions right. So picture an L-shaped set of built-in benches, with one of these for the back. With big windows behind them, and a kitchen in blue and stainless and possibly dark soapstone. (The actual blue is a little more faded than it looks in this picture.)
I like the third one the best, just because I feel like it brings in some of the rich colours you have through out the rest of the house.
But the first one is nice as well.
