Avast, ye scurvy…

Avast, ye scurvy dogs! Captain Kavya bids ye shut your yaps and pay heed to her horrific tale.

It has a sad beginning, I'm ashamed to admit.

I'm not sure how it happened, but I somehow steered left when I should have steered right...

...landing flat on my face.

I rushed to amend my error...

...commandeered a sturdy steed...

...and was swiftly conveyed to a happier clime.

But, so confident was I, that I wandered blind into a hideous orange sea.

Beset on every side...

...until at last, I befriended one of the strange creatures, and thought myself safe.

But it betrayed me, and flung me into a cage.

I used all my strength against the bars, but they resisted my fiercest efforts.

My cell mates were strangely furred...

...but seemed friendly enough. Ere long, I gained their trust.

And when they broke out of their cage, I bid them take me with them.

They would not allow my departure until I had received a token of their regard, which I suffered none too gladly.

Still, all's well that ends well -- I survived my adventures, and return to you at last, beaten but unbowed.

Now let's all take a nap.

We were going to, but she was too tired and cranky. S’okay — not sure she would have understood it anyway. Next year!
