The wedding was gorgeous…

The wedding was gorgeous and delightful, but also utterly exhausting -- it's not so easy, being in a wedding with a toddler in tow! Kavi was a massive hit, especially when she started waving at the crowd as she did her flower girl walk down the aisle (while holding my hand). Too cute!

I wasn't able to take many photos since I was in the wedding party, so it'll be a bit before I can show you what it looked like; we'll have to wait for the actual photographer to send his photos. But here are two images to tide you over until then, from the rehearsal dinner and the trolley ride to the cathedral:

Oh, and for those who voted -- my family picked the violet dress with enthusiasm for the rehearsal dinner (although it was a bit more cleavage-y than I would have liked). But in the end, I wore both dresses, because around 11 p.m. the night of the wedding, my sari was falling off from all the picking up of Kavya (and consequent pulling out of safety pins holding the sari in place), so I changed into the other dress for the last three hours, and they also deemed that dress quite charming. :-)

  1. You look beautiful!!!! Kavi’s dresses are stunning. So glad you had a good time and got to wear both dresses. I can hardly wait to see the pictures!!

Ah, yes, my family believes in straight hair for formal events. God knows why.

I do kind of like my hair straight, but can never be bothered to actually straighten it myself normally.

Oh, and David, I think you can just order a photo off the Flickr set if you want one — that’s probably more reliable than trusting me to remember anything in December. 🙂
