So far today, mostly watching baby. We went to a story reading for infants/toddlers at the Barnes & Noble -- don't think the reading made any impact on her, but she liked all the other kids, and the stuffed animals and books she could pull off the shelves. Picture her running gleefully down the aisles in the kiddie section, pulling stuff down, and me chasing after her, putting them back up again in some semblance of order. After that, we went to swim class, where she was very brave and did not cry! Even though she was clearly still somewhat freaked out. Still, huge improvement from crying straight through class! We are very excited!
Other than that, wrote a new section for the writing book and my writing classes, on writing ethnicity, and why/how you should do it. Not bad, I think, though will need revision. Am very groggy today, so am pleased to get anything accomplished, really. Minal wants me to come to a SAJA (S. Asian Journalists Association) reception at 10 p.m. tonight. Who has events at 10 p.m.???
