Apparently people have…

Apparently people have been having trouble with the download option on the Lulu site, so here's a link in case you'd like to freely download and read a PDF of The Poet's Journey (34.1 MB).

I'm hopefully talking to Amazon's BookSurge folks today about printing through them -- if that goes well, a less expensive version may be available soon. In the meantime, though, please do read it and let me know what you think! It's short! And has dragons and unicorns and talking ravens and talking trees and adventure and romance and despair and poetry in. :-)

Oh, and slightly belatedly (it was yesterday), happy Sri Lankan New Year!!!

  1. Happy Belated (very much so) Sri Lankan New Year to you, too!

I just checked out the .pdf file and the illustrations go with the story so well. I loved it when you posted it on your journal – I can’t get over how awesome it looks typeset and w/ the illustrations! It has that dreamy quality I like best in mythopoeic fiction but with a distinct asian flavour which makes me very happy – I’m always looking for hybridized fantasy fiction w/ crossings between culture, it’s something I aim for and struggle w/ in my own stuff myself. *sigh*

Anyway! If it comes out in a bound, printed format I’d be very keen on getting one – it’s one of my favourite pieces by you.

    Cheers.

    Nin
