Hey, can anyone recommend a really excellent place to buy a fancy birthday cake in Chicago? I know places in the Bay Area, but that is no good to me... Has anyone tried Tipsycake or Bittersweet or Bom Bon?

I totally and wholehearatedly recommend Bittersweet. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from there, and bought cakes from there for my recital back in ’98. And I think they did some of the dessert catering for Mort & Kcat’s wedding that year as well.
