Brightening the Kitchen

It’s mostly been grey here, and the garden is not looking its best as we head into late fall — we had a light snow the other day, so a hard frost is probably not far away, and then most of the blooms will be done. But right now, I can still go out and gather a vaseful of flowers to brighten the kitchen.

Pink hydrangea, purple salvia and monkshood, dark red mums, purple pansy, blue-purple blueberry leaves, blue centaurea, silver artemisia.
