This is all pretty unbalanced right now, but maybe they’ll survive the winter and come back bigger next year, and the pink sedum I planted behind last year will get bigger too, and eventually it’ll all be a nice balanced symphony?
Gardeners have to be at least somewhat optimistic / hopeful people, because we’re always looking years ahead. 
“It’s going to look great in five years! Come back then!”
