Kevin has been on a bread-making kick (possibly related to the spiffy bread box I got him for his birthday) so every morning lately I’ve been waking up to a new loaf of bread. Today’s bread has quite the crisp and chewy crust, which does make me feel a little bit like I’m battling my breakfast, as I tear off pieces forcefully with my teeth.
But it’s delicious — slathered with smoked whitefish spread for breakfast, and I’m planning on an open face roast beef and seeni sambol sandwich for lunch. (Would cheddar be a good addition to that? Not sure.)
