I’m taking a break from campaigning today, mostly because I think I’m kind of burnt out on it. Six more days ’til the election. If this were a longer campaign for higher office, maybe I’d need to schedule breaks — the pace of an event every day (and multiple on weekends) is just a little much to sustain for months on end.
Have been feeling energized and excited thinking about the arts center idea, and I’m going into campus today for lunch and a poetry reading and dinner with C.S. Giscombe, a visiting writer. It’ll be an arts-saturated day, which sounds kind of perfect right now.
