Training students to write (and rewrite) grant applications is tedious. I have to remind myself that that was the whole point of this grant program I came up with -- it's designed to be a gateway grant, relatively easy to get, as long as you actually write the application properly. Which they have to learn how to do. No one is born knowing how to write grant applications!
