We didn't put a tv on our first floor, in the hope that our family might not watch quite so much tv. It sort of works, but is undercut by the various portable electronic devices. I admit, I find it charming that the kids snuggle up to watch Saturday morning cartoons together. Even if the snuggling is somewhat coerced by the need to stay close together so they can both see the screen. :-)
