I’m back to work,…

I'm back to work, finalizing the Jaggery staff line-up. Added Sharmili Majmudar as one of our Essays editors, woohoo! Just one or two more to decide on, hopefully today, and then we'll be ready to start putting together submissions guidelines, and the Kickstarter to fund-raise.

"A social justice worker and poet, Sharmili Majmudars writing can be found in journals and anthologies including the award-winning Contours of the Heart: South Asians Map North America. She was a founding member of Mango Tribe, a multi-city Asian/Pacific Islander American (APIA) women and genderqueer interdisciplinary performance ensemble and has performed at numerous venues across North America, including South Asian Progressive Action Coalitions Voices of Resistance. She is a recipient of Community Renewal Society's 2009 35 under 35 Leadership Award, Chicago Foundation for Women's 2010 Impact Award and the Loyola University of Chicago School of Social Works 2011 Siedenburg Award. Sharmili earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago's Graduate School of Social Work. By day, she is the director of a rape crisis center; by night, she is building a life with her sajni and their very determined toddler. By twilight, its anybodys guess."
