I forgot to note in the…

I forgot to note in the last entry that another contributing factor to the slowness of our decision-making process is that we actually are deciding everything jointly. We both care about all these decisions, both the practicalities and the aesthetics, and so there's a lot of talking and arguing and research and looking around at options. Which is sort of fun, sometimes, but it's super time-consuming. If I could just pick things, it would be much, much faster. But then Kevin wouldn't be as happy in the final result, so that's no good. I'm glad we're doing it together; I think that's right for us, and we'll be much happier with the results. But it's slow.

And I have to say, it drives me a little crazy when half the time Kev is saying we need to spend less money, and the other half he's saying he doesn't want to buy something I've found because it looks cheap (example -- he's worried the light mentioned below will be a thin, fake-looking metal, which it might well be). Umm...honey? It is cheap, or at least relatively so. That's the point. Weren't you just telling me that we needed to buy some more cheap stuff? :-)

Champagne tastes on a beer budget, that's us. BOTH of us.
