I got started on the…

I got started on the read-aloud, and it's going well enough -- lots of tiny clean-ups, mostly cutting unnecessary words. My style errs on the side of minimalism. But I hadn't anticipated that one obstacle would be this cough that I still have; I'm having to take a lot of breaks even within chapters, or I end up coughing too hard. I've calculated that it'll be about eleven hours of reading aloud overall. This is going to spill over to Monday, I'm pretty sure. But I still have hopes that I can send the book out on Monday anyway.

Sunday:

  • take more things over to house for storage, clearing Kavi's room - x
  • print out Rasathi, read aloud, doing absolutely final edit - in progress; two chapters (9150 words) done
  • post garden path blog entry- x

  • straighten and sweep Kavi's room
  • notify remaining grant applicant -- informal letter sent; formal letter waiting on response from colleagues
  • figure out web page access for ASAM

  • return Kevin's present that doesn't fit (shoes from Lands' End)
  • return Kevin's present that was shipped in a ladies' size instead of men (texting gloves)
  • drop off Samanthi's present if she's available

Monday:

  • send Rasathi and proposals for books 2-3 to Bob to send out. Eep.
  • prep for Tues classes
  • pick up Synthroid
  • order microwave (talk to Deb)
  • look at stain samples for trim and floor
  • call fridge people about replacing door
  • review vent hood plan with Pam -- get pricing and into her schedule
  • decide on fireplaces
  • order storage piece for master bath -- waiting on Kev's decision (check with Pam re: swing of door)
  • call about replacing broken Harmony needle (so I can get back to work on Kavi's owl sweater)
  • take two bins in car and two toy boxes over to house for storage
