In other news, I think we've bought a house -- they took our money, and we even have keys, but apparently, there's one more piece of paper the bank needs to sign to make it all official. Nonetheless, we're going to go ahead and behave as if it's ours now, I think. :-) We're meeting with a contractor, Paul Wicklow of Coffman and Wicklow, at 10:30 today, to see what he thinks about renovation possibilities.
The movers brought the last of our stuff from the storage unit yesterday, so we now have quite a pile in our basement. None of it is urgent to deal with, though. And while they were here, they also moved a bunch of furniture around for us in the house, which was a big help, between my invalid status and Kevin's bad back.
I'm actually doing much better today; still twingy, but able to walk around fairly easily. I'll try to minimize the stair-climbing at the house today, and plan to spend the afternoon and evening in bed with the baby. The goal: be nice and healthy for when I go back to work next week.
