This is a tree called Harry Lauder's walking stick, also known as corkscrew filbert and contorted hazelnut. I am entranced by it. According to Adele Kleine of "Flower and Garden Magazine," the shrub's "appealing common name derives from the old Scottish comedian Harry Lauder who performed using a crooked branch as a cane."
Bougainvillea and water.
Ooh, beautiful! I love water patterns!
Lovely shots!
I’ve always loved bougainvillea. That pic gave me an idea for a story on which I’m working. Thank you!
