I grieve. The scale…

I grieve. The scale claims I am back to 139. I gained two pounds at WisCon? Eep. I did try to be good the first two days, but admittedly, I then had three days of no exercise and much much restaurant eating. And yesterday was no better; for no good reason, I ate until I felt stuffed.

I'm feeling totally lethargic too, with oh, so little desire to go meet up with trainer lady at 10:45 today. Obviously I need to get up off my butt and go. And I think I'm going to have to actually go back to strict calorie counting for a few weeks; I suspect my body has gotten used to higher calorie intake and that's going to feel normal to me now and I can't trust my rough sense of whether I've had enough food for the day. What a pain. Time to get out the food chart again...

  1. It’s not possible to eat sensibly at a con, and I’ve given up trying. If I can make it through the weekend without eating a salmonella sandwich (winces at memory of ConJose) or similar, I’m happy.

  2. Heh. I wasn’t expecting to lose weight this week — it just would’ve been nice to hold steady. Ah well.

I was up three pounds from the weekend, myself. I’ve lost almost 40 pounds in the last eight months or so, and still have quite a bit more to go. I’m consoling myself that at least a pound of this is water weight from the monthly red menace, but I know that all those bake sale cookies must have had something to do with it, too. Damn that Space Babe!

Oh, well. I’m already down a pound again, and I’ll probably have the rest off by the end of the weekend.

It was lovely to see you, by the way!

  4. Yeah — the scale this morning is back down to 137, so I’m taking that as the accurate number for this week. 🙂 My downfall was the fried bean thread noodles from the Laotian-Thai place — I had them for dinner, then lunch the next day, twice. 🙂 Oh, so yummy…

Today, roasted fish with rosemary and lemon. See, healthy eating can be tasty too.

Btw, you looked great, Jennifer — very hot. All these cute married people…very sad for the Mary Anne. 🙂
