Hey -- I just realized, talking to Karen, that many of you writer types may not be aware of AWP, the major writing conference that's taking place in Chicago this March 24 - 27th. I'll be attending, as may Karen, and I do think it's a really excellent conference to attend for those of you who are trying to break into literary fiction circles. Unfortunately, if you're not a student, the registration cost is quite high ($40 student / $175 non-student). But if you can afford it, I strongly recommend considering attending. There are great panels, and a huge dealer's room where many of the "little" literary magazines (Kenyon, Black Warrior, Southern, etc.) will have tables and editors available for chatting.
