Reading Sedgwick’s…

Reading Sedgwick's Epistemology of the Closet today. I'm hoping to be able to go through it quickly -- I've read the main essays in it a few times before, and I think it won't hurt me to skim through the supplemental ones. If that works out, then I may go ahead and start Helene Cixous's 'Coming to Writing' and Other Essays tonight. I'm a book behind schedule, somehow, so one of these days I need to do two books (or two days, a book and a half). We'll see how it goes.

In other news, french vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit for breakfast, because that's what I feel like. I suspect in this last week, a lot of my choices will be made that way. Because I have so little choice in the work I have to do, I am feeling completely unwilling to impose discipline on any other aspect of my life. Hopefully that won't come back and bite me too badly when this is all over.

  1. I think that French Vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit sounds like a great breakfast… at least there is real fresh fruit involved… that’s healthy right?

  2. Well, it’s at least as healthy as some kids’ cereals — and it can’t have any more fat than bacon and eggs, right?
