Guess what time it is,…

Guess what time it is, boys and girls?

Not five a.m.

Not four a.m.

Yes, that's right, you guessed it -- three a.m.!

Why? I have no idea. Lately I've been getting tired really early, falling asleep on papasan or couch around 8. I thought I was just sick and my body wanted to sleep more (I do have a lingering cough), but I'm waking up earlier and earlier. I dunno what's going on. Oh well.

On the plus side, y'all seemed to like yesterday's rant. :-) It's funny -- I was gonna apologize for it. Rants aren't really my style, most of the time, and I thought maybe I was being a little preachy. But it seems people are feeling the need to be preached at. Or kicked in the butt. :-) Hmm...I think I might be able to develop a taste for butt-kicking...well, maybe not. Sounds kind of kinky too.

Argh! It's 3 a.m.! What the heck am I supposed to do at 3 a.m.!

Maybe I'll just tell myself it's five. What would I do if it were five? Check e-mail. Done that. Write a journal entry. Doing that. Have tea. My stomach feels funny -- don't want tea. Have some tea anyway, silly. It'll settle you. Don't wanna. Tough. Oh, okay. I'll make some tea. Ummm...then what? Call Roshani. No no no -- it's four a.m. in Chicago AND it's Sunday. Roshani and Tom will be sleeping soundly for hours yet, and she will NOT appreciate being dragged out of bed. And Tom sounds so sleepy when you call even at 7 a.m. on a Sunday morning. C'mon. You know better. Call Jed? True, he might be awake. But he might not. You don't want to wake him do you? Bored! Bored bored bored. So read a book. Go on -- it's not that hard. But I'm TIRED... So what? So you fall asleep reading a book at 3 a.m.? This is a crime? Ugh. I give up. You're just hopeless...

8:15 a.m. What -- you're going to tell me that I drank the tea, finished reading a book, got an e-mail from Jed, called Jed, talked to Jed, solved several nagging problems, made some breakfast (rice and curry), sent more e-mail, started another book, fell asleep on the couch for three hours and STILL nobody's updated their journals? Sheesh.

Guess I'll just have to go do some work.
