Well, I eventually ended…

Well, I eventually ended up talking to Kev last night, which cheered me up, even if we did talk past 1, and so I slept almost 'til 9, oof. His schedule and mine...sigh...

Today had the graduation rehearsal, which was nice, even if people did keep coming up and congratulating me on being the grad speaker (it's a bit embarrassing, 'cause I wrote the speech last minute and it just feels so random that I'm the one speaking. Still, one of the committee people was there and said she really liked it, so I guess it'll be okay). Went pretty quick.

The plan for this afternoon was to start with revising my intro for Maiden Voyage, but I can't find Marti's notes on it. So I've sent off an apologetic note to her, which she hopefully won't hold against me. God, I feel like I've been so flaky on this project, but the timing has really been awkward. Oh well. It *will* get done by the June 1st absolute last deadline (or I'll be in breach of contract, ick).

David's going to come by and look at the manuscript I'm going to print out, final proof. I'm going to spend some time looking at my speech and trying to tighten it; then I'm going to browse through some on-line magazines. I can't remember if I told y'all that I'm thinking of starting one soon; if I do, I need to know what the competition is doing right, and wrong. Nerve, Erotasy, Scarlet Letter, umm...and something else. Oh, right, Fishnet. Should be a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. :-) And if I do it at Mills, the connection's going to be *much* faster.

Hmm...anything else? Don't think so. Hope the end of your week is going pleasantly. I'm feeing a bit tired, but quite happy, all in all. Satisfying, finishing things...
